<p>Hon. Emmanuel Kasambo has unveiled an ambitious plan to address the perennial water crisis in Mpongwe West Constituency. Speaking at a community gathering in Kafulafuta Ward, Kasambo pledged to mobilise K5 million for a comprehensive borehole drilling programme that will cover all 8 wards.</p><p>"Access to clean water is a basic human right, not a luxury," Kasambo told the enthusiastic crowd. "When elected as your Member of Parliament, I will ensure that every community in Mpongwe West has access to clean, safe drinking water within the first two years of my tenure."</p><p>The programme will prioritise areas currently walking more than 5 kilometres to the nearest water source. Community water committees will be established in each ward to ensure sustainable management of the boreholes.</p><p>This initiative is part of Kasambo's broader development agenda under the UPND government's commitment to rural development and improved living standards for all Zambians.</p>
