President Hichilema Endorses Kasambo for Mpongwe West

<p>President Hakainde Hichilema has officially endorsed Hon. Emmanuel Kasambo as the UPND parliamentary candidate for Mpongwe West Constituency ahead of the August 2026 general elections. The endorsement came during a State House meeting with Copperbelt Province party leadership.</p><p>"Kasambo represents the kind of leadership Mpongwe West needs — young, dynamic, and committed to serving the people. I have full confidence in his ability to deliver development to the constituency," President Hichilema said.</p><p>Kasambo thanked the President for his confidence and reaffirmed his commitment to the UPND's development agenda. "I will work tirelessly to ensure that the people of Mpongwe West benefit from the programmes and projects of the New Dawn government," he pledged.</p><p>The endorsement is expected to boost the campaign's momentum as the election date approaches. Party structures in all 8 wards have been mobilised to intensify voter engagement.</p>
